The EYE: is the Most important organ of sense and is always associated symbolically with Light and intellectual acuteness of understanding and discernment. It is also the image of spiritual expressivity. In many civilizations the Sun is understood to be an all-seeing eye. The eye of Osiris, or the Udjat-eye, was considered a powerful amulet. In Christianity, the triangle around the eye represents trinity, however, in this case it is upside down to fit the shape of the compass, or Atomic bomb, symbol. The eyelashes represent the feminine perspective as well as sunbeams coming from the all-seeing eye. This was also called the Eye of Osiris. Every function of the eyes has its analogue in the macrocosm and in moral life. A person's insight radiates from within, like the eyes' power of radiation. The all-seeing eye in the triangle surrounded by sunbeams is a reminder that the Great Master Builder of All Worlds, GOD, penetrates all secrets. In modern psychology, the eye functions symbolically as the organ of light and consciousness. The feminine eyelashes, or sunbeams, have five eyelashes. Feminine energy is the energy of receptivity, intuition, contemplation, wisdom, care taking and compassion. Since the eye represents the senses as well as the connection to God, the five eyelashes show the five physical senses of today,: touch, smell, hearing, sight, taste. Or it can also represent the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. These correspond to the five points of the compass. Five forms of earthly happiness were wealth, longevity, peace, virtue, and health; five moral qualities were considered humanity, duty, wisdom, reliability, and observance of ceremony. There were five degrees of nobility, kinds of grains, punishments, and mythical rulers of the distant past. This structure was also linked to classical Confucianism during the Han dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). And the list goes on.
The COMPASS: is an instrument that draws a perfect circle. In the Western world, it is a symbol for geometry, cosmic order and planning. The circle is a symbol for the "all-embracing love for others".
The FIRE: is the living element that consumes, warms and illuminates but can also bring pain and death. It is often a holy symbol of the hearth of inspiration and the Holy Spirit. Fire can be seen as purifying. Fire is considered a "male" element as an image for vital force, the Heart, potency, enlightenment or Sun. Fire also represents spiritual, mental and physical alchemy. It also represents the Divine Essence which animates our being and whose radiance we must learn to express in each thought, word and action. This is called the Philosopher's Stone. On a lesser note, the fire in this logo is also a blob of ink!!
